My childhood home had a dark room. It smelled of developer, metals, and coffee. Out of that space my mom would emerge with prints of the floral banana seats, heavy citrus trees, and cracked sidewalks of our neighborhood.

Looking at the damp 8 x 10s, I couldn't wait to be old enough to get in on the photo making myself.

Working as a photographer has populated my life with firefighters, philosophers, crunk dancers, authors, lovers, local business owners, expectant fathers and mothers, clothing designers, and farmers.

I'd be so happy to photograph you, too.
