Lisa's photographs not only speak volumes about her talent and aesthetic, they also reflect her ability to make people comfortable. My husband and I feel very lucky to have Lisa's imagistic record of our engagement and wedding. Our friends are equally impressed: many hope to book Lisa for future author and artist photos. My experience of using Lisa Anderson to photograph our wedding could not have been better. Because of a spring blizzard, we had to change our venue the morning of the wedding (Hello, stress?). She came from Chicago to Denver prepared to shoot an outdoor wedding and ended up in a church none of us had ever seen. (Hello, more stress?) Because of all of the changes we had to make huge changes to the schedule...she even managed to pick up the wedding cake in the midst of it all. Her good spirits and adaptability brought welcome calm in the midst of much craziness. The photographs she took of my fiance and me when he first saw me in my dress (before the ceremony) were in a room with old couches, primary colored walls and lots of Sunday School materials. She made the room fade to the background and instead captured the intense emotion and joy we felt in finally be getting married. Lisa also got some of the best shots of my niece and nephew I have ever seen. I believe that this is because of her gift of relating to her subject as a person, not just an object of her photography. She captured a narrative of our day that we will enjoy for the rest of our lives. Lisa's adaptability, personality and technical expertise make her an incredible asset to any wedding.
